The coffee the machine makes is OK, but the machine makes such a mess, I’m reluctant to use it.

    Problems:
When you first turn on the steam to heat your milk, you need to run it for a bit because water initially comes out rather than steam. This is OK, most machines do this. BUT, you can’t direct the steam wand into the drip tray, so you get water spraying out all over the counter top. You can hold a cloth under it, but then you run the risk of scolding yourself.

Also, the design of the coffee holder makes getting the used coffee grinds out a real faff. Most machines have a V shaped cup for the grinds to go in, so all it takes is a knock on the side of a bin to get them out. But with this machine, the V shape isn’t as pronounced, so no matter how hard or often you bang the holder, the grinds don’t come out. You have to dig them out with your thumb , adding the the mess above.

Final comment, it isn’t exactly a ‘solid’ machine, so I can’t see it lasting. Oh, and the tamper is very flimsy and as a result, a pain to use too.

The first 3 cups of coffee were ok, I only use the machine once maybe twice a day. I clean everything before making coffee for 1, the next morning. On day 4, the machine started to drip water from one side, this was tedious, the day after the other side started to do the same. Its like the pump has stopped working altogether. This machine drips in very small amounts and you cannot wait fr it to fill a cup, its absolutely useless, therefore its being returned. I did expect a machine that worked from Swan at the £99 mark.

I am absolutely loving my Swan Nordic expresso machine. Makes a gorgeous cup of expresso, full of flavour, hot and easy to make. Also makes a great frothy cappuccino. My only regret is that I didn’t purchase one sooner!

I love this little coffee machine! I enjoy a nice cappuccino but I was finding it difficult to justify the cost of one or two capuccinos for my husband and me everyday so we decided we’d treat ourselves to a coffee machine. Our first attempt was a bit hit and miss but I watched a few tutorials and I can now make a really decent cappuccino! I was worried that it wouldn’t match up to the more expensive machines but it’s easy to use, easy to clean and quick.

I bought some coffee beans, grinder, stainless steel jug for milk and some double walled coffee glasses too. Delighted with my setup! I can bring a coffee in my keep cup, no more takeaway coffees!

Absolutely love this coffee machine, it’s so vibrant and looks like a piece of art. I find it great, flavour is perfect, the only note I would make is, colour is matt as as such stains and splatters need to be wiped straight away or they become quite hard to remove. All in all I’m delighted with my purchase!

Stunning machine. Makes a good coffee, It always makes lovely lattes. Easy to remove the water tank as it has handles and really easy to clean as you are going along. The milk frother works really well and makes velvety soft lattes. It is also really quick to make a latte, I usually rush for work in the morning but it doesn’t take longer than 5mins to make and clean as you go along. I cannot comment on taste of espresso alone but it looks good.

Additional, it does not come with the milk frother cup but they are cheap on amazon. (You don’t need a thermometer, as long as the milk is swirling in the cup for around 5 seconds and is hot to touch it is usually perfect)

Over and over again I forget that this machine does not automatically switch off when the coffee cup gets full. There is a cascade of weak, luke warm coffee flooding everywhere. OK I have been spoilt for the last few years and have used coffee makers that after dialing in the size of the cup/mug will stop at just the right fill level. This is such a simple addition to a machine and really should be there. Having to stand and watch a cup slowly fill whilst keeping another eye on milk being heated on the hob and stirring scrambled eggs. This is a royal pain and being able to switch on and forget is a basic necessity.

Like all filter machines it makes luke warm coffee. I cannot complain but the coffee can always be microwaved afterwards.

The product looks good and makes a good cup of coffee. I am aware that you get what you pay for. The main down side is that it takes a while to froth the milk. The orange light that shows the milk frother is ready goes out as you begin frothing the milk. You have to wait for the machine to heat up the water again before you can go on. It takes me three goes to get nice hot milk. Also the machine stains from the coffee quite easily and so I imagine it will look tatty quite quickly. It’s quite light weight. But it is a budget product. A friend has a machine that cost her more like £350 and it’s better machine, not surprisingly!
